Mental Health Services for High-Needs Schools

Mental Health Services for High-Needs Schools

City implementation partner: Department of Education

Symptoms of mental health conditions frequently emerge before the age of 14. The Office of School Health implemented new mental health services at 217 high-needs schools serving grades K through 12. Participating schools have on-site clinical services, including group and individual counseling for students, to integrate mental health services in school settings, improve the mental health outcomes of students, and build schools’ capacities to address the mental health needs of their school communities.
