Crime Victim Assistance Program

Crime Victim Assistance Program

City implementation partner: New York City Police Department

Victims of any kind of crime can be served by the Crime Victim Assistance Program, which operates in precincts and Housing Police Service Areas citywide. The program has dedicated victim advocates for survivors of domestic violence and additional advocates for victims of every other category of crime. The program provides supportive counseling, connections to individual or group therapy, and help navigating the legal and financial challenges that can emerge after a crime has occurred.
